FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE LINK Trail Network Coalition Releases Brand New Bicycling Resource

EASTON, Pa., May 1 —Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) in partnership with CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation are unveiling a brand-new resource for residents and visitors interested in biking the multiuse trail network of the Lehigh Valley, known as THE LINK.

THE LINK is an interconnected 125-mile network of safe, beautiful multi-use trails offering year-round outdoor recreation, alternative transportation, and healthy living opportunities. DLNHC, CAT, and many other partners including local non-profits and municipalities work to advance the connectivity, amenities, and programmatic opportunities of THE LINK.

The recent collaboration with CAT is intended to remove barriers to riding on THE LINK by addressing common questions and concerns related to maintaining, adjusting, packing, selecting, and riding a bike through a series of entertaining and educational videos. In celebration of National Bike Month, DLNHC will release two new videos per week on THE LINK social media accounts from May 1 – June 1. The full series, consisting of 8 videos, will be housed online at delawareandlehigh.org/explore-the-corridor/plan-your-trip/biking-resources

CAT is a trusted coalition in the Lehigh Valley, which is why DLNHC wanted to partner with them to provide videos that directly spoke to our community of current and would-be riders.

“There is value in seeing ride leaders from our community share tricks along local, Lehigh Valley trails.” says Brit Kondravy, Conservation Manager at the DLNHC. “We’re thrilled CAT and George Wacker (LV with Love) were able to create an accessible resource aimed at improving rider confidence and comfort.”
